Spice Girl

I take my spices very seriously, so I found a way to keep them fresh and organized all year round.

I have a collection of over 30 different kinds of spices, so it is difficult sometimes to protect the flavor and the quality. I am able to do this by using compressed jars and placing them in my freezer.

These jars can be found at places like Walmart, Christmas Tree Shop, Home Goods, and online.

They come in different sizes. As you can see, I am using two different sizes.  The great thing about these jars is that they often come with stick-on labels, which helps with organizing. God forbid I confuse my caraway powder with my coriander powder!

Placing the jars in the freezer makes all the great flavors last.
